چکیده
Corrosion study of conventional reinforcement in concrete has been accorded wider importance the last few decades based on losses occurring monitoring structures. It is well known that presence chloride ions one most significant factors contributing to corrosion reinforcing steel. Practically, it observed marine environment, activating substances such as chlorides penetrate steel can counteract passivity locally when electrolyte highly alkaline. The cover changed chemically ionspenetrate into material, whereupon pore solution neutralized. Based numerous studies, evident fibers and glass have less impact cracked sections a environment oppose infiltration. Glass fibers, exposed repeated freeze thaw conditions, protect passive layer. This review article highlights behavior reinforced involving various cracking behavior, transportation, electric conductivity, resistivity, diffusion fibers.

Experimental Investigation of Behavior of Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)
The paper presents the results of casting and testing of 264 GFRC specimens. The glass fibers were 25 mm long, with the aspect ratio (L/D) ranging between 1250 and 3570. The parameters studied were the ratio (by weight) of fibers to cement, i.e. F/C=0%, 1.5%, 3%, and 4.5%, and the ratio of coarse to fine aggregates (gravel to sand), i.e. G/S=1.1, 0.7 and 0.2. In total, 12 mix designs were selec...
متن کاملMechanical Behavior of Stainless Steel Fiber-Reinforced Composites Exposed to Accelerated Corrosion
Recent advancements in metal fibers have introduced a promising new type of stainless steel fiber with high stiffness, high failure strain, and a thickness < 100 μm (<0.00394 in.) that can be utilized in a steel fiber-reinforced polymer. However, stainless steel is known to be susceptible to pitting corrosion. The main goal of this study is to compare the impact of corrosion on the mechanical p...

متن کاملCreep Behavior of Basalt and Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites
The creep behavior of basalt fiber reinforced epoxy (BFRE) and glass fiber reinforced epoxy (GFRE) composites was studied through tensile testing at high temperature. To study the effect of reinforcing epoxy, the micro glass powder (MGP) was added at various volume percentage into the epoxy resin in BFRE composites. The initial strain for all the specimens were evaluated and compared with each ...
متن کاملCompressive Behavior of Fiber-Reinforced Honeycomb Cores
Honeycomb core sandwich panels have found extensive applications particularly in the aerospace and naval industries. In view of the recent interest in alternative, yet strong and lightweight materials, honeycomb cores are manufactured from sisal fiber-reinforced polypropylene (PP) composites and the out-ofplane compressive behaviour of these cores is investigated. The cell wall material is mode...
